Course overview
This module is for health and social care practitioners working with people with intellectual disabilities in a range of services such as education, prisons and forensic services.
The module critically examines the concepts of assessment and treatment of mental health problems and challenging behaviours in young people and adults with intellectual disabilities, and evaluates their relevance to offending behaviours.
The module is delivered by blended learning, a combination of e-learning and traditional classroom-based study.
Blended learning from weeks commencing 13.1.20 to 30.3.20, attendance one day a week at the university in weeks commencing 13.1.20, 17.2.10 and 30.3.20
