Course overview

This module is for professionals who want to develop their knowledge and skills related to caring for young people.

The module is concerned with the relationship between development and health in young people aged 12-24 and the challenges these present. Within the module students will be provided with opportunity to review the multifarious factors that interact to pose specific challenges for young people’s physical and mental health and welfare.

Students will critically explore the unique needs of young people in respect of their physical health, welfare and mental health wellbeing and determine the extent to which current health care provision meets these needs.
